How to use it?

1. Fully submerge the sponge in water. 
2. Squeeze and saturate it while holding it underwater. It will get soft and squishy as it gets filled with liquid.
3. Squeeze and towel dry the sponge to remove excess water.
4. Use the rounded side of the sponge to blend large areas of the face with dabbing motion; the precision tip covers imperfections and blemishes.
5. Use the flat edge for contouring around the nose and eyes.

How to clean the makeup sponge?

The sponge should be cleaned with warm water after using it every time to prevent the spread of bacteria.

1. Wet the sponge with warm water, put a few drops of mild cleanser and lather it with hands to get rid of all germs, makeup, and bacteria inside it.
2. Rinse the sponge under running water till the water runs clear.
3. Squeeze out the excess moisture and air dry it.

Packaging

The blender comes in a pack of three inside a cardboard box. The compartments of the three blenders are made separately. The shape of blenders is different. 

The blender comes in three shapes namely; the teardrop, the oval, and the pear shape. 

They are placed in separate compartments; where the oval is placed in the first compartment, the teardrop is placed in the middle compartment,  and the pear shape is the third compartment.

The white box of the blender has semicircles on its sides to help in easy opening and closing of the box.

My experience with Puna Store Complexion Sponge

Finding a decent beauty blender is a very important step in perfecting your makeup. So, I started looking for a good beauty blender which is neither too costly nor too cheap. 

The quality of cheap ones is very bad, I have tried some of them and was heavily depressed by the results.

I started scrolling on the Amazon and found this Puna Store Complexion Sponge and started to read the reviews of it. The reviews were pretty good so I purchased them.

I was very excited to receive the product, the product came in a cardboard box with three compartments inside with three different shaped blenders. 

The packaging was very classy. The box is white in colour with the PUNA STORE logo and some floral designing on the top of the box. 

The name, price, manufacturing date, etc. is written on the back of the box.

The blender literally doubles up in the size when you put in under running water. It gives a natural and flawless finish. 

The trick while using beauty blender is you need to apply it in a stippling motion, not swiping or dragging motion. You can see the difference yourself.

I have quite uneven texture on my skin due to acne and acne scars, I have the problem of pigmentation as well. This makes it very difficult to achieve that flawless finish, with fingers it is way more difficult to achieve that kind of finish. 

After using this sponge, my problem was solved. It creates such a flawless finish without even caking up the base. The texture of the beauty blender is very fine.

How I use it?

After applying moisturizer and primer, I dot my favourite Maybelline Superstay 24H Full Coverage Foundation all over my face using fingers. 

Then with the help of the sponge, using dabbing motion, I spread it all over my face. If more coverage is needed, I apply concealer on those areas and then again stipple my face with the sponge.

The sponge does not soak up the product. 

As I apply my foundation directly from my fingers and using sponge just for blending, this technique too helps a lot in preventing the soaking up of the product.

How I take care of the sponge?

Since I have suffered a lot from the acne, I prefer to clean my makeup sponge after using it every time. I know, I am a freak but this works for me so I do it.

Now, for cleaning my sponge, I do a few steps:

1. I take a mug filled with lukewarm water( the water should be lukewarm else it would adversely affect your sponge) and mix some shampoo or handwash in it, I use them depending on the factor as which one is closer to me (I am very lazy).
2. I leave the sponge-like that for 30 minutes, after that I run the sponge under running water, squeezing it till the water comes clear.
3. I squeeze the rest of the water from the sponge and leave it on a towel to air dry.
4. Voila! your sponge is clean.

Extra Step: 

Once a month, I disinfect all my sponges. 

To do that, before drying my sponges, I put them in a mug filled with Dettol water(1 tbsp Dettol, 1 mug water).
