My skin tone favors nude lipstick with a hint of brown a lot. I always look out for such lipsticks. They not even compliment my skin tone but also makes me feel confident.
On my journey to find right nude shade, I impulsively brought Maybelline Super Stay Liquid Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick- 05 LOYALIST and it was a big fail. It was super light for my face and makes my face look washed or something. That lipstick retails for Rs. 650. I just wasted my money.

I found Maybelline New York Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick Nude Nuance shade while scrolling through Nykaa and got it fro Rs. 299. There is one or the other sale going on Nykaa every once in a while. Coming to the packaging, as told, this lipstick has the most classy packaging of all others. The color-coded sticker at the bottom makes it perfect to identify in between a whole lot of lipstick. The lipstick case is very sturdy made of strong and durable.
The lipstick glides on super smoothly and dries a bit after application. This lipstick is not smudge-proof, you feel the need to reapply it after a meal or drink. It gets transfers a bit, but a hack that I use makes even this lipstick transfer-proof. It stays for good 5-6 hours. This shade will suit all Indian skin tones.
A classic makeup look with black smoky eyes and nude lips would look best for any kind of outing. The lipstick provides great pigmentation with just two swipes. This lipstick on its own can hide lip pigmentation as well. It is a non-drying formula best for those who are looking for a nude lipstick under budget. The lipstick feels very comfortable on the lips.
How I use this?
- I scrub my lips and apply lip balm before starting my makeup.
- After doing my makeup, I take a tissue and dab off the excess lip balm with it.
- After that, I apply one coat of this lipstick starting from upper lips and cover them completely and then do the same with my lower lips.
- I take another tissue and put it over the lipstick and lightly dust powder on top of it with the help of any foundation brush.
